Summary:

J.R. Harris & Company (JRH) conducted a structural condition assessment of the industrial mill building at Five Rivers Cattle Feeding in La Salle, Colorado. The mill, comprising three distinct areas, has experienced steel corrosion and concrete deterioration due to high temperatures and moisture from its steam chambers. With plans to replace the steam chambers, Five Rivers sought this study to evaluate repair or replacement options. JRH performed a visual inspection, documented the structure, and assessed deterioration using non-destructive methods. Finally, JRH provided recommendations and estimates for repair and restoration of the primary structure, should that become the preferred option over building replacement.
