Summary:

This project involved the structural evaluation and modification of a 40-year-old, 32-story office building in Downtown Denver, converting it into apartments and retail space. The all-lightweight concrete structure was analyzed for lateral loading, and a structural condition assessment was performed. Key modifications included new foundations, a parking ramp for the conversion of the basement level to parking, floor infills, relocated floor levels, and a rooftop screen structure. J.R. Harris & Company served as the structural consultant, providing design solutions and construction phase services to ensure a cost-effective and seamless transformation.
